5 Mistakes That Kill Your Chances of 
Building a Great Body After 40…

What works for younger guys DOES NOT work for busy guys in their 40’s like us. 

The truth is, you’ve been lied to and misled.

Following the workout plans of steroid loaded genetic freaks in their 20’s. 

I’ve been in your shoes so I know how it feels. That’s why I want to help you end the frustration and finally build the body you want. 

To do that you’ve got to avoid all these typical mistakes that kill your gains and wreck your body.

1) Long Workouts

Doing too many sets and reps in a workout will kill your gains. You’ve got a lower work capacity and compromised recovery ability when you’re in your 40’s. So you have to do less, but train smarter. Quick, highly efficient workouts are the key. No time or room for fluff or junk volume. 

So forget about “chasing the pump” and all these other silly concepts that have no place in your workout routine. 

2) High-Rep Crossfit Style Circuits

People mistakenly think that when you’re in your 40’s you should train with light weights and low rest periods. Just train like you’re in a 1980’s aerobics class to save your joints. 

This is the worst approach possible. Your body loses muscle as you age so doing this would only enhance the process. You need to lift in a way that will actually build muscle and help you maintain it long into old age. 

Low rest periods are actually less effective for building muscle than longer rest periods. And they cause your body more stress. The last thing you want. 

3) The Wrong Exercises in The Wrong Order

If you follow the traditional approach of starting your workout with a bench press, squat or deadlift you’ll always be in pain. 

There are far more effective variations to use that cause much less stress on your body. And when you sequence them in the precise order that I teach you won’t believe how good you’ll feel. Things you thought you’d never be able to do again will all be possible. 

4) Too Much Cardio

Cardio can kill your metabolism, crush your testosterone levels, cause overuse injuries, and cripple your immune system. And it’s not even that effective for getting lean. 

In fact I, and many of my clients, have gotten to single digit body fat by doing ZERO cardio at all. 

Now, I’m not saying you can’t or should’t ever do it. But the right way is nothing like what you see most people doing. 

5) Restrictive Dieting

You often hear this prescription for a lean body- “Eat less and move more.” If only it were that simple. What you eat is critically important. And even if you’re eating the right foods I don’t believe in eating as little as possible. 

The proper amounts of fats, carbs and calories are essential for stamina, building muscle, losing fat, boosting libido, improving cognitive function and so much more. 

Plus, we already mentioned the natural loss of muscle that occurs with age. Why would we want to speed that up with a low calorie diet?
